I have about $1000 to spend.

I got my tax return. and with all the crap in my life, I REALLY shouldnt blow it on stupid truck crap. but, theres a few things id really like to get.

First off, Id like to get a 04/05 edge valance in Red. thats about $400 from the dealer... I think I might get that... maybe tomorrow.

Second, is sort of complicated.

1) while my stock rims are nice and all, id like to get 15's since tires are cheaper. but then id need new tires. I was thinking mud terrain type tires, the lil cuts in the tread are mandatory... what are my options here?

2) new wheels = new tires. I , like the bfg mud km2's but their a bit pricey, any other suggestions?

3) I am also thinking of getting my sun visor painted. I bought it in sept of last year and havent done anything with it. currently its silver, but I think ima have a local shop paint it (no offense D)

so.. what you think?

Agreed with Nathan and John. Put a 3in PA on it, get some new meats (check craigslist and junkyards.... They pop up all the time), and find a certifit near you and grab a new valance. Sometimes you can get lucky and get a cheap valance from a JY and have it painted at a body shop for cheaper than certifit.

Lift kit is out since my truck, currently, is at the perfect hieght for me to get in and out of. While I would like to lift it, at the current time, with the situation of my back, lifting it would make my truck nearly impossible to get into at times.

closest certifit is in ohio

Well crank your torsion bars up a bit and just get some 265's or 285's. By the time you sell your 16's get 15's and tires for them you're gonna be into it just as much if not more than just buying new tires for your 16's.

Hit up a junk yard for the valance. Put aside some money for it and paint if it needs it and just be on the look out.

Definitely look around for a valance and get it painted. A dealer will rip ya off. Oh and D. isn't here anymore.

I have been watching all internet sites for a decent priced pre painted Edge valance for my truck for 5 years.

It took 3 years of searching to get my gas tank skid plate. And from the JY perspective, all I have seen is either the plain black one - which I have. or 03 or older type valances.

Unfortunately, I think the Dealer is my only option for getting the valance I want.

I would go any place but the dealer for the valance, they'll charge you an arm and a leg. Then some 265/75/16 and you'll be good to go.
