This thread is in every auto/truck forum on the internet, It's all about personal preference. Try debating that a white truck last longer than a black one, same result.

 

I've torn apart enough engines to know that gunk can and does build up and can clog the oil ports enough to ruin an engine. I've had bearings burn up on me, I know it happens. Anything I can do to keep my engine running clean is what I want. I've scraped enough gunk out of engines, I should know.

Taxi drivers put their cabs thru hell, those bearings in the video looked pretty good to me after 116,000 miles. If my engine's components look that good after 116,000 miles, I'll be very happy.
