[UGuys, after many years of owning and selling a 96 Ranger, I've come back purchasing an 01 Ranger XLT. I bought on line a EXCELVAN USB adapter that you can swap out with the cigarette lighter. After extneding the hole it mounted and wired in with no problems. Except, I didnt know it continuously illuminates a blue color (pretty cool) all the time and doesnt turn off...I worry about a battery drain so I disconnected it...Anyone have any experience with these. Why dont you just connect it to a switched power source instead. now i dont know the inner workings of a rangers electrical components just yet. But there should be a power source that is only on when the truck is running or in assc. position.
