DiamondBack Caps, Bushwacker BedRail Caps

Shane recommended these. Says they go on with adhesive.

2003 Ford Ranger Putco Skins Truck Bed Caps, Bed Rail Caps

These may be good as well.

I have the bushwacker caps and think they are great.

Here is a pic. I got the ribbed sides with a smooth tailgate cap.

I got Wade ribbed caps with stake cutouts....paid $67 including shipping. Came to door in four days and put 'em both on in 5 minutes. Wide coverage of the sides and hit the holes spot on. Pleased.

Bushwhacker would be the best, they are OEM thickness.

(OEM like some that come on the other trucks)

Good Choice.

I would recommend buying an extra roll of 3m tape to use when putting them on.

The amount that comes on the product is a little skimpy.

for the pirces those pieces of molded plastic, they better come with a hot babe in a bikini to install them...

$100 for molded black plastic? 200+ for chrome plastic? Are they high?!

I wouldnt mind getting tailgate cover made out of diamond plate... but its gotta be atleast made out of metal......

but of course!

and FMD, 84 bucks shipped was well worth it imo for these. especially considering they will probably help keep my trade in value up a bit since the nasty holes and scratches from the tool box won't be visible

I went Bushwacker as well...cept I went the 'Diamondback' style. Only cap I found that was wide enough to cover up the gnarly marks on my bedsides from the stock huge bedcaps.

Gotta agree there. I prepped 'em good before putting 'em on...but....my tailgate cap has lifted on both corners and I decided to go ahead and rip if off and paint with bedliner in a can to match my flares and bumpers. The bedrails ain't gonna lift, thanks to the toolbox and the stake pocket hook thingys.

And for what it's worth...the precut holes are HUGE on bushwackers. I bought a set, then exchanged for a non-stake pocket set. Then made my own cuts and bam! perfecto now!

Does a stepside have stake pockets?I have factory caps w/o cut outs. Some one told me they don't, and I need a canoe rack. If so I'd pay someone a dollar to give me measurements from end of bed to centers on all four corners.

Stepsides don't have stake pockets I don't think. Just a plastic cap that covers the bedside bolts. Couldn't you like....go out to your truck and look? lol.

I've had mine for years and the only problem I had was the tape coming up, but I just redid them about 6 months ago and all is good. I had to tie strap the front down for awhile till I retaped them. The main thing is get it right the first time when you intall them.

That is the reason mine came up. I put it on crooked at first and pulled it up then redid it. I have the diamond plate ones.

i already stay mostly on the streets now anyways, any good wheeling is at least an hour away and just too much gas. In reno I could drive 5-10 min to an entrance to a trail and be out there for hours and not see the same thing. when i came back to the road i didnt even have to come back down at the same spot. i could end up on the damn other side of the city lol

basically, my driving won't be much different with a car then it is now with my truck. cept i'll be able to go a little bit faster

i dont like how the back looks funny since the stock bedliner goes over the bed and the bed caps didnt come with anything for that
