Question: I'm moving to Texas....

My parents have a 2006 Ford Explorer and I have a 1996 Ford Ranger, the question is can I put a towbar on my truck and have the 2006 Ford Explorer tow my truck? All the way to Texas?? U-Haul wouldn't allow us to rent their towbars for some reason. So, let me know sooner thanks.

Ryan

Welcome to Texas, I say yes it should pull it. When you see a big hill coming just get a run approaching it.

They won't rent any trailers to anyone with an explorer. Find someone with a full size truck, suv or van and have them pick up the tow dolly for you.

Yeah the whole Explorer deal started with the firestone/rollover issue. U-haul now prohibits Explorers from towing just to cover their ***. Doesn't matter what year, engine, etc. Anything with the Explorer now is prohibited.

Don't tow anything long distance without a trans cooler AT LEAST and preferably a fluid change if you haven't done one yet.
