A.R.E. "Z" Series shell and Bedrug

I needed to get a shell because my new business requires me to keep some expensive equipment secured in the back and also shaded from sun and elements. So I did some looking around and found the A.R.E. "Z" series shells are perfect and look good on a Ranger. It's getting installed on Monday.

Does anyone else have an A.R.E shell? How do you like it?

I also decided to ditch the Snugtop plastic bedliner and I got a Bedrug. Same question.... anyone else have a Bedrug and if so how do you like it?

my dad had an ARE hard tonneau on his f-150 a few years back and it was a very nice cover. ive always admired ARE for their quality so im sure their shells are just as good.

Know what's funny? I got both of those

Here are some pictures on my black truck:

The Z-series is one of the BEST camper shells out there. i shelled out over a thousand dollars for my shell. It has flushed windows and the rear-side windows can pop out.

The bedrug is awesome. Made of plastic fibers, it will not smell and cleans up real easy.

Can't wait to see these on your truck =D That'll make our trucks like.. brothers! haha

A.R.E are a top line cap manufacturer. As long as you go with a top line builder your good
Get a tail gate top edge protector that goes down far enuff so the door rubbers dont rub the paint off your gate, and it doesn't take long to happen either.
I like the bedrugs but they are too much money up here, so I'm doing my own, great having a non slip surface in the bed, stuff don't slide around.

For expensive tools though I would have gone windowless though

I also keep a rag inside the rear door to wipe the seal and top edge of the gate off to keep abrasive dust out

I have the bedrug and it is sweet. I got this as I sell these and I use it as a marketing tool. Man they are sweet. I have hauled a number of chemicals that have gotten on the bedrug and cleaned up with NO problems. These very from Gas, Motor Oil, Grease. Mine also see's a very extreme change in weather. From 100+ to -20 the bedrug have been the perfect product. If you have any questions about the bedrug, or installing the bedrug let me know, I would love to answer any that you or anyone else on the site might have on this product.

Also I do have samples of this product that I can ship out FREE of charge for anyone that is interested in purchasing a bedrug. Just PM me your Address and put Bedrug Sample in the PM subject line.

Reguardless where you get your bedrug from ( I hope it is from me) I am sure you will love it.

got everything installed last week. love it! the Z series from A.R.E is the best shell to get in my opinion. follows the lines of the truck perfectly and the flush mounted glass sets it off nicely.

The Bedrug is probably the best item I've purchased for my truck so far. it fits the bed curves perfectly and is very comfortable. In fact I slept in the bed last night on a camping trip and it was more comfortable than sleeping in my tent. My tent is gonna get alot less use now... probably use the tent to store the supplies while I sleep in the truck.

also check out the color matched mirrors and handles

next item is a billet grille and Doug's programmer.

Looking good, but then I have a preference for toppers on Red Trucks :)

Did you put a tail gate protector on? the rubber seals on the door will rub the paint to bare steel where they rub on the paint, also on the tops of the fenders if the seal crosses the gap, I know, because I put the tailgate protector on, but forgot to trim the seals at the fender

$310 shipped to your door from me.... As to it being exposed... NO PROBLEMS.. Keep in mind the bedrug is actualy Plasitic just like your drop in. Just in a carpet format... it is some sweet stuff.. if you have more questions about the bedrug let me know.

I leave my cover off half the time and haul my muddy quad around in the back of it and just take my presure washer and cleans up good as new. I even had a rearend off a truck in the back, and some diff fluid leaked out and I didn't even wash it for two days and cleaned right up with no smells or anything

as for price, I paid $550 for a stepside bed with tailgate, ARE cover, and bed rug already in it

N74DV,

Can you post a couple of picks of your bed with the rug? I am curious how it looks. I ordered my topper yesterday and should be here in two weeks.

I have a LEER and the bed rug... Like them both, but nothing special about the LEER cap, it's the bottom of the line. I got them because my dog spends all of here time back there, and I'd hate to see here sliding around, or bouncing out! :o)

EDIT: There is a picture if you click on my Avatar...
