Anyone remove their seatbelts? Have some questions..
Welp, I started ripping the interior of my 01' XLT single cab apart so that I can RAAMAT it and install my sunroof this weekend.
So far so good, HOWEVER. I have removed all the back panels, speakers, and undid the seat belts that are connected to the lower B-Pillar... as the seat belts were being retracted, I wanted to have some slack so I attempted to pull it, just as you would if you were going to buckle up and it won't come down...
Is there something I am missing on how these are working. It was working perfectly fine up until I undid the lower bolt and that it retracted fine just at it normally would but not it's not coming back out... I looked to see if there is any type of a release or anything like that but nothing is working to get the belt fabric pulled back out.
It's not jammed or twisted, it's simply like if you were to slam on your breaks and the seat belt doesn't come out anymore and holds you "tight" in the seat. OR if you accident move too quick and it locks and it's that frustrating feeling that you can get slack in the belt but then when you ease back and slowly pull you get slack again...
Wondering if I am just missing something easy, but as it sits right now I can't get the belt out and wondering once I bolt them back in, how I am going to use them?
Thanks,
-Nigel
