Bought a Diesel Ranger...few ?'s

Hey all. I just bought another Ranger (my 5th and one of 3 I currently have) and it's got the wonderful 2.3l Mitsubishi Turbocharged Diesel with a 5 speed in it. Is there any info out there on these? Anyone have any hookups with parts to these? Thanks

Lol. The body is by far nothing special, but it's not bad. It definetly needs 2 new front fenders, grill, and the correct box (it has a 93+ box on it, looks goofy. It was owned by a tractor dealership so it was well taken care of, 2wd, frame and undercarriage looks great. I'll get you guys some pics sometime today hopefully. The turbo is quite loud on it. It has a straight pipe too, lol, it smokes pretty good if you lug it down.

I might, there is a guy in town that makes it for his V10 Torueg and 5.9 cummins, so I was thinking about striking up a deal with him, I'm going to see what kind of mileage it will get on No. 2 Diesel first. So far all it needs is a cooling sys. flush and a new fuel tank.

from what i have seen you will get about the same mpg if not better on #2 dino diesel... i have yet to run bio in my benz cause im worried it might damage something (only cause its a classic) if i had another diesel benz i would probably run a 2 tank WVO system... if you go the WVO route stay far far far away from lovecraft stuff... it will ruin your engine

I'm thinking about the WVO, but that will probably come next summer, I just wanted a fuel efficent beater truck, so I bought it.

It sounds great, like an ASV RC-50 skidloader (if anyone has heard one). I tried to get a sound clip on my camera, but you couldn't hear the turbo. It was owned by a Tractor dealership, so they have that stripe on all their trucks. Like I said the undercarriage looks great, maybe I'll have to give it a lift if I can get the body looking good. It will more then likely be an ongoing project with me being a student.
