What do ya'll think ? (good deal or not )

Well ive been looking for an older 80's modle 4x4 to pull my big trailer and just to have a 4x4 incase the Danger Ranger won't make it. So today I'm running into town and I see this blue F250 for sale , heres all I know .
one owner who passed away it was used as a farm truck here in Texas its a 1986 Ford F250 Single cab 4x4 V-8
460 carberated V-8 , 4 speed manual trans ,manual Tcase and spinable hubs
air / heat , stereo Am/Fm tape , blue pleather , tool box , bedliner , hitch , goose neck hitch and probally a few others i cant see or didnt notice .
For $1500.00

I couldnt test drive because the owner lives in Austin wich is 6 hours away , but said he's coming in on wed next week so I can then and he claims everything runs good with 120k on it .
heres a pic (bad one i took with cell)
well what do you think ? This is pretty much the best deal ive found so far anything I should look for ?

How big is the Trailor you are pulling? I wouldn't recomend a manual tranny to tow things with, but of course that all depends on the weight.

huh you wouldnt why? , I mean I understand on a ranger bc the ranger mt is a peice of crap but on most trucks maual is better . Just about all my friends who have 3/4 ton and 1 ton trucks have mt . But to get back to your point one is a 6x16 tandem axle that wheighs 900lbs unloaded and will be around 3000 loaded when im pulling the tractor or 4 wheelers , and on rare ocaisions a 61/2 x 20 and a 22 dove tail car hauler and 21 foot bass boat . But so on average 3000-5000 lbs maybee more .

those are well built trucks... if it runs good, no noises from the engine other than normal noises lol id buy it..1500 bucks seems reasonable IF the truck is in somewhat good condition.

for $1,500, if it runs and is complete, then dies after a year, I'd say you still got your money's worth

just bear in mind that good deals are hard to find...so if you put in the time, you can find something that's a better deal (newer, lower miles, etc.)...but if you said this is the best deal you've found, then just get it

btw, 460??? wow!

Well, You can tow more weight with an Automatic Tranny vs the Manual Tranny due to the clutch. The smaller trailor you would be fine with but the larger ones, Im not too sure about. But its all up to you as to what you want. Im sure the truck will pull it, You might just be replacing clutchs sooner than you want.
But to answer your question, It does sounds like a good deal. Just be sure that is what you want

Honestly I'm not trying to be a jerk , but I'm having trouble with you're logic here . For instence I have 3 friends who hotshot for local oil companies , and a few more who do hay work , and another that moves heavy equipment all of who tow way more than their trucks are rated for , and all of them but one has manual trans in their trucks linked to deisils and one has a V-10 .
Good example my buddy jake has a 98 Dodge 1 ton 4x4 Dually with six speed manual and he tows on average of 24,000 lbs dailly(32' goose neck and Enclosed cab John Deere with batwing mower and baler ) and has yet had a problem with his.In Fact out of all of those only one has had problems but his truck had over 160k on it .
Plus im not going to be towing all that often just when needed its mainly to have a good 4x4 thats capable of towing also I have always heard maula are stronger hence the reason 18 wheelers use them.If I'm wrong please explain I'm here to learn .
