Not sure how many of you have seen this, but I read about it in Petersen's 4wheel & Off-road, and thought it was cool.

It's about a Powerstroke diesel powered Ranger that's trying to break Gale Banks truck speed record. Pretty damn cool.

ranger + 6.0 powerstroke + intercooled + twin spins = you really cant make it any better than that.

 

pfff...i'll be lucky to get a quarter of the speed that truck gets

Yeah, when I first saw the article, I was like "Cool a Ford is gonna beat that Dodge in the speed record." Then I realized it was a Ranger and was like Hell Yeah! Haha...

 

banks uses duramax? i thought they used cummins, cause it was a dakota body...

yup the banks dakoka used a 5.9 cummins

 

Chevy's not even going to try to do anything with the Durmax. Why try when you know a S-10 cant handel a diesel.

 

neither of those trucks used were ranger or dakota parts...

 

the only thing ranger about them were the fiberglass bodies......

 

I could get to work alot quicker in that Ranger.
