well going from a lima 2.3L the 3.0 is sooo much better on take off, you people who started out on 3.0s know nothing...

I'm just glad I have a V6 end of story...

 

but from what ive heard, the 3.0 will last forever and the 4.0 will not.

 

Shoot ill race my 2.5L against you 4.0 guys.. and ill just sit at the line and let you waste gas :P cause I know you will beat me.

Woo go 3.0s. I tired getting my 35's on the other day without the Bl and that was a joke. Saturday though will be the mark of a new slow.

It's not that the 3.0 is a slow truck. It's just not fast by any means either. When I need to pass someone I have no problem doing it. But I guess by today's standards maybe it is considered slow with everyone coming out with their 200+ hp engines. I know, I just contradicted myself.

 

you dont!?!? There has been countless times when im driving down a single lane, broken yellow line, highway (65 speed limit) sitting behind some moron going 50. I have to wait until i can see a good 2 miles in th other direction before i even try and attempt to pass.

Pft i can think of 4 near collisions off the top of my head caused attempting to pass by my truck being so fing slow....

oh and its more like their 250+ hp v6 engines...

 

I can pass easy... I just don't pass much, I'm not in that big of hurry, I hate people that weave thru traffic, the other day some guy was on my A** on a 4-lane in his new toyota taco... I got into the left to pass a semi well he tried to beat me around the semi so I took off to block him in... I eventually let him go, then he almost rear ended someone...

 

Im not implying driving like an as$hole, i was making refrence to a 2 lane highway and trying to pass.

I too enjoy watching for the jackass drivers in my rear view mirror and dicking with them... especially when its some civic or other small car who cant do crap to a truck

thats sad, i can pass with no problem and i have a 2.3L lima.
my truck is also a 5speed.

 

well... yours has a mind of its own, lol. my old 2.3L would scare me if I ever tried to pass anyone... 55 mph was pushing it sometime...
