Orignal sticker price of your truck?

Mine was stickered at $16,355

tilt steering and crusie control
built in august of 01, sold to me Sept 1, 01
We (my dad and I) got the sales person down to 14k, because of deals going on and the fact that my dad told them thats all he wanted to pay or we were going to chevy(yeah i know, almost got an s10).
I ended up putting 4k down(from when i wrecked my wagon) and my dad put another 6k down, and then I finianced the remaining 4k. I then spent my senior year working and making 300-400dollar payments on a 200dollar bill :)
needless to say the truck is paid off and its all mine, just wait till the warrenty runs out, then the real modding begins :badgrin:

The sticker on mine was also $27,000 and was also a Special Order. I too doubt there will ever be another. I am the second owner and the guy I bought it from had the sticker when I bought it. It was special ordered with every option available in 99, but WITHOUT power windows, power door locks, power mirrors. My truck is all manual and that is the way it was specail ordered. I payed 8,500 for it 2 years ago with 79,000 miles.

Hey rngprerunner - What options do you have that brought the price of a 1999 Ranger up to $27,000? If it has every option, I wonder why no power - especially the mirrors since that would probably make it an XL and man that was a lot of money to sticker a base truck for in 1999? What the heck was Ford thinking? Do you have pictures? Was that US dollars? Your website is in Dubai UAI, but home town lists Norwalk. Are you in the Navy?

Its pretty much the same truck as you just a 99. I have pictures, give me a few minutes. The guy didn't want the power stuff because it could break. That was his reason to me which is great because now I can leave my doors open in the rain and not worry about that stuff.
My truck in a nut shell now is "'99 4.0 4x4 XLT SuperCab, with an AFE Intake, Dynomax exhaust, Jet Chip, 2in torsion crank, front glass, Custom front bumper, Custom Skid plate, Hella's, 265/75R/16 BFG AT's, Bilstein 7100's Beard limit straps, Custom mounts...Sony CDX-CA810X 4x52watt Headunit with Pioneer 3way 6X8's all around and a 400watt single channel amp powering one Sony 1100watt 10"sub, all working together providing the tunes. Cobra 29 NW LTD Classic CB keeping me in touch"

2003 FX4 LII, stick, silver, single CD/Tape. Stickered at $25,285, after discounts. I had 4x4/4 door and AC regional discounts very much like LilBlue did. I did NOT pay anywhere near sticker though! My purchase price was $19,872. I did not order my truck, I bought from dealer stock. I was actually shopping for a 3.0L 4x4 XLT.. :o
I'm most proud of my first truck though. 1999 XL Sport w/ no options (not even AC). I forget what it was stickered at, but I paid $9500 after disounts. I managed a few grand down, plus trade. I ended up paying less than $130/mo. It was the best decision I have ever made as I was in college and money was tight. It was litterally the CHEAPEST thing on the dealer's lot, new or used. My salesman said: "You can have any color you want, as long as it's Red, White, or Black!" (The colors he had in stock!) My father (who I brought for advice, he didn't pay a dime) was sold 10sec after we walked on the lot. I had to shop around so we went to the GMC dealer and looked at a Sonoma. They wanted $4k more and the vehicle sucked ***!

i think there was some kinda tow package with it i dont remember
it reatiled around 15 or 16k
but i know he didnt pay that much for it i bougght it from him for 3500k.

Ford from time to time will do interesting stuff with packaging...for example, my truck is one of only a handful of 2001 trucks equipped with the 2.5. After January 15, 2001 (IIRC) you could not order a 2001 Ranger with the 2.5. Having the 2.5 also deleted the chip keys...something I don't mind because replacements are $2 and you can get them at any hardware store instead of paying a fortune for chipped keys at the dealer. also mid thru the year the started making the 01 with the 2.3duratec, funny cause i have a 2001.5 xlt with a 2.3 and my roommate has a 2001 xl with 2.5
