Its cool victor...my truck isn't a boat

I think 1st and 3rd are linked...its 1/3 2/4

I am going to flush it..I can't emphasise how much I am praying that will work.

Btw, when its in drive it makes a spinning sound. Something is definetly spinning on it, I just don't know what. The dshaft does not spin at all when it is in 1st.

sounds like you blew that clutch then..reminds me of my day when i did it WOW was that a pain in the *** was cheaper to buy a new tranny then to overhaul/rebuild it...might wanna start looking for a rebuild price

I just got done flushing the fluid a bunch of times, it's getting better, I'm going to try it one more time but after that I am just taking it to the shop.

So far, it is creeping foward in 1st and in drive it does almost the same. It is definetly JUST slipping 1st. I have no idea what the cause of that is...but Im determined to figure it out. Even if I have to drive it up to get to 3rd...

You are flushing it but did you drop the pan at all???? After it sits for awhile the water will separate with the trans fluid that may be why its better when cold. If you have not dropped the pan then do that and then refill it see what happens.

No, sadly I was going to do that the day after this happened (I sunk my truck) because we have been going in so much water lately...

UPDATE: As of right now, all shops are closed for the holiday...I'll have more info on the 2nd, I'm going up to a local shop at 8am (hopefully) If I don't work.

Edit: I don't work until the 4th, so I should be good to go!!! Hopefully I can get it fixed in time for the ocala meet, and I hope it doesn't put too much of a hole in my pocket, I'm broke as it is!!!!

I am definetly doing the breather extensions...no doubt about it. I learned my lesson, that was one of those things I had on the back burner, and I thought about doing it, but never did.

I want to go to 5spd very badly (bc eventually I'll do twin shifters after the sas ) and I just don't know what it would take to convert to a 5spd.

I was actually thinking of having them rebuild it either way (sometimes thats the only thing a shop will do anyways) because I AM at 62k miles, and I'd rather start with a new tranny...this way I know nothing else was damaged when it went underwater and I can sleep tight!!!
