The Ranger was taken to soon...
The Ranger was rear ended last week. I witnessed an accident ahead of me, slowed down, pulled off to the shoulder, had enough time to pull my cell phone out, call 911, was on the phone with the operator, then boom...rear ended by a guy doing about 45mph.
The few pics I could snap with all the chaos going on. The damage is worse then it looks...insurance adjuster gave me an approximate number of around 8,000 dollars in repairs. If repairs are more then 70% of NADA value, they total it.
The bumper, tailgate, bed are all done for. The bed pushed up into the cab and dented up the rear of the cab....tweaking it so bad that my seats won't move on their tracks. He pushed me into the shoulder cement barrier which took out my front bumper, grill guard, hood and grill. Also broke some front end components. I also just put 1700 dollars of front end work into it with wheel bearings, ball joints, exc.
Its a shame. As all of us have, I've put lots of time and money into it. I might buy it back and make it a trail rig, but in the mean time I will be driving my 1994 Saab 9000 Aero Turbo. Too many new cars to choose from. Will probably pick up a newer Ecoboost F150.

Sorry to hear man. I know how you feel. My first car, a beautiful blue 93 explorer sport with 102k miles and it was in amazing condition got totalled by the insurance company after some idiot made an illegal left turn right in front of me in a 35 mile per hour zone.
I wanted to buy it back off the insurance company and either fix it or salvage off it and fix up another explorer, but the insurance company just let me keep it and i got 2500 bucks in book value and bought an already modded 99 explorer for 2000 bucks.
The damage is mainly body work and a bent radius arm and tie rod and it needs a new tire. Right now it just sits and im just about done collecting everything i need to fix it.
My dad bought me that explorer for 500 bucks! It's well worth fixing. You should keep your beautiful looking ranger.

Truck is officially totaled. Insurance gave me a good amount for it...more then I thought I'd get. Not worth fixing with the frame damage.
Considering a 2013 King Ranch F1Fiddy that my uncle is selling.
Local members the topper, Yakima bike racks, Fx4 lvl2 shifter (we need to swap your stock one), tires, wheels (also need to swap yours onto mine) are all up for grabs. PM me

Trust me, the last thing I want to do is send this truck to the yard with the shifter, ****, tires and wheels on it. But I might have no choice. No time to go to a yard and find one. And all my local Ranger buddies no longer have rangers.
I'd get another Ranger, but I was already annoyed about the lack of space so no thanks. I will miss my truck though
