Totalled my truck.

I appreciate all yall's comments. It just really does suck that everything you work for just goes away just like that. Just to add to insult, I saw the guy I hit today back at his job site. The truck is completely unharmed, not even a good scratch. I honestly didn't feel like talking to him, it won't do any good at all. About totalling it or not, the conclusion is: If the frame is bent, it's best to total it and part out what I can take off (lift, rims+tires, intake, toolbox, hitch, exhaust) and find some old crappy jeep rims to slap on there. If it's not bent, we'll replace what we need and I might get some custom paint while we're at it. But, nothing is for sure until insurance tells us what they can do for me and I find out if my frame is tweaked. In the mean-time, since I'm under 21, the rental agency can only give me either a pt cruiser, cavalier, neon, or focus. They were going to give me a pt but I said no, and the only other thing in town they had was a 4dr. white neon (this thing is hideous and SLOW) I actually think my truck WITH my boat could outrun this thing.

Well, a little update. We did a GOOD walk around damage assesment and found that the whole bed is warped and that the firewall IS bent. They bumped the damage up to 12,000 aaaand it's border-line totalled. NADA and KBB both say it was worth 16,000 with no aftermarket accessories and it takes 80% to total. I find out for sure tomorrow whether I'm stuck with a boogered up truck or a new to me truck. I have been looking around for trucks just in case and these people have lost their minds down here, 17,990 for a 2001 x/cab stepside Ranger 3.0 5spd with 42,000 miles on it. Prices have gone up since I bought my truck (thats the exact price I bought my truck for new). I did find an 04 Ram 1500 with the 5.7 HEMI for 20,000 though.

Good news everybody, you haven't seen the last they grey beast. The insurance company decided not to total it (being as they found used parts for cheap). They pulled the frame today and aligned the cab and bed and pulled the firewall too. So the doors and everything function just as good as off the lot, no catches or anything. Should take right around a month to fix but out of all this I get a skid plate and custom paint (my uncle's doing the work ad I'm making a skid plate). I'm just glad I don't have to start over from scratch.
