I'm starting to think it draws undue attention. Just the other day somebody IM'ed me to ask me opinions on mounting a Westin bull bar on a truck w/ a body lift. I don't know what would give anyone the impression I know anything about body lifts or Westin bull bar; I have neither! .. This is a big reason why I didn't have my IM screen name on here for a long while.

I get that crap all the time, while I may have some knowledge of the subject what would prompt somebody to out of the blue send me a PM about random ****?

 

ya its constand the crap i get. aim's like all the time from people one wanted to know how to put oil in or some crap....i was suprised to say the least haha

 

I own a Mustang and get questions like that more than i would like.

Its the reason i changed my aim screen name.

Ill be glad once im not top poster, maybe the post whoring will stop.

 

That's what I said to the kid, make a thread, we'll post to it if we had the info. Even if I had any thoughts, I'd have told him to make a post. Me making a comment in a PM or IM is temporary and only serves one person, making a post to a thread does service (or disservice ) to all for all time to come.. At least, that's the idea!

Of course, here I am posting in a non OT thread and just making things worse. Either post and get the crap that comes w/ it, or don't and don't participate in the community. One of those damned if you do, damned if you don't things..

 

yeah i get those IM's all the time and i feel like an *** when i dont answer since i am always signed on but hardly ever at my computer

hmm.. will i ever catch up to the big boys?? i don't think so. i pretty much only post in the "other" topics. oh well, maybe i'll start getting in to all the threads and give out random information about trucks and such. i could just start making up words and stuff....hmm..(thinking out loud)
