I need exhaust help.

help me figure out what to do to my exhaust. here is a great paint drawing of my options.

1. is what i have now, change the muffler to a super 44 or something like that. leave rest how it is.

2. remove exhaust and just clamp in a pipe. leave rest how it is.

3. add second y pipe and have dual side edit. or remove first y pipe and have dual side exit with straight pipes.

you can offer other options, its just not loud enough and doesn't sound very good. stock size is 2 1/4 and mine has a 2 1/2 inch tip on it right now.

Lol amazing paint skills.

I would go with #1. It's just a matter of preference on the muffler. Flowmaster, borla, magnaflow, corsa, gibson and I'm sure there are others people will suggest. Just promise you will skip dynomax, thrush, and glasspacks.

Go with true duals! Sounds so good on the 302!

I would go with the first one. You are more than likely going to be pulled over for running straight pipes.

Kinda depends on what you want and where you live. I had true duals, strait pipes on my El Camino for a year and got pulled over a lot... but not for exhaust.
I also had a F-150 with true duals and nothing but glasspacks. Same story. Never got pulled over.
In my opinion, I love duals on any V8. It just depends how loud you want it. You can do the strait duals and put bigger tips on it and itll be amazing!!!! Pop and crackle

2 1/2 striaghts or x pipe.. make it all the way out the back trust me.. if you dump it earlier you wont be able to hold much of a convo inside the cab..

Option 2. but with like full exhaust, i'm thinking Magnaflow pipes. they sound CRAZY loud without a muffler.

stay with #1 & aim for either a glass pack or a turbo exhaust which can still muffle but when ya romp on it, it will rumble good...dont eliminate the 1st y adapter it will bring down the torque cause the back pressure wont be as strong

It kinda depends on what you want. If your like me and my El Camino, it doesnt make much power anyways so why not make it as annoying as possible lol.
If you wanna keep a few extra ft lbs then you need some back pressure.

I heard backpressure was a myth?... Anyhow I'd love to see duals. I have a 350 in my chevrolet and I have a system like the third you displayed. Sounds awesome, but I'd love to have them straight back so I'll probably be doing true duels later this summer.
