Aaaahhhhh (Auto Tranny)

Ok i found out today that my rear end is getting replaced again!!!!!!!! SO i am very very pissed cause there is two reasons y i can think it needs to be replaced and thats cause the first time it wasnt replaced right or the tranny is messed up. Now i have been reading on here that i am not the only one with the tranny problem. It seems like there is other people on here that have been experienceing hard shifts, delayed shifts, or something to do with shifting. I geuss my ? to u guys is what have u done about the shift problems or what r u goin to do about the shift problem? cause if i am not the only one haveing this problem then i want it looked into but i am only one person in the vast world of people that r stoping me from finding anything out. I would hope if other people start complaining about their tranny having problems too then Ford might look into it and maybe issue a recall or issue some kind of fix to it. Ok sorry about the long post i am just tired of everytime i have it to be looked at that they call and say "were replaceing ur rearend again"...

HELP ME PLEASE or give some suggestions

well supposedly the valve bodies on the trannies go out somewhat often so that could be and probably is your tranny problem.

as far as the rear end, what exactly is going wrong with it??? the 8.8 is a pretty damn good axle so....

In my case, the problem ended up being the valve body gaskets were leaking and causing errtic shifts. Some neutraling inbetween shifts, shoddy downshifts, and even hard upshifts. I had thought it was time for a rebuild but they simply replaced the gaskets and the problem was solved.

I would suggest not waiting until the thing stops moving before getting it fixed because what could be a relatively inexpensive replacement of gaskets will turn into a much larger repair when the lack of line pressure causes the clutches and bands to wear prematurely.
