Where is the airbag impact sensor on an 04 ranger...Is there even a remote sensor or does the RCM sense the crash

in the truck, on the floor under the center of the dash, behind the cup holder.

its all in the RCM in the location mark talks about.

so there is no remote sensor that module does the sensing?
