How do you know if your bama worked?
Ok so my redline is 6500, it shifts firm and blah blah. However I FEEL no gain. Perhaps its just me, but I feel no difference over stock performance wise. Ive tried running 91 performance and torque and I feel nothing. But if the shifts are firm and the redline moved that means it worked didnt it?

Well I mean I think you should get one just good luck! Everyone says they have awesome luck with them, and that doug is a really good guy, personally its just been I havent felt a difference other then stuff I dont care so much about.
Just heard everyone talk bout how it makes them spin the tires and how much faster their truck feels, I just feel stock with stiff shifts.

8 HP is gonna be a difference of about 2/10's of a second in a 1/4 mile run. 12 Hp ruffly 3/10's.
think about it. An intake and exhaust changes the noise so it creates a sensation that is different. Even roller rockers make a sound difference on the 3.0 it just happens to make your engine quieter. tuners and pulleys don't.
$70 on a dyno or back to back 1/4 mile runs with the tuner on and off should prove what you might not feel.
In my case with rogues tuner I didn't feel it after a couple of weeks so I turned it off. Then it was- oh, yeah. its slower now. You kind of get used to it.

It just doesnt seem any different at all but I could just be *****ing, I just heard people say a huge difference and I guess I was hopeing id feel a huge difference.

I'm surprised that none of y'all felt a difference. I dont have a bama tuner, but I know it's better then the superchips programmer that I have. I to this day can still tell a difference. However I only run the 93 tq setting. I personally noticed more of a change with the tq then the performance setting. Try going to the tq setting specially with the 3.0. It really helped the off the line response. Also another reason I got it was for better mileage. I went from 15/18 city/hwy to 19/24 city/hwy and i'm running 4.10 gears with almost 31in tires.

Ok I lied, as far as feeling anything, my comment stands as not feeling anything, but I do however get about 20-30 extra miles per tank than I use to. I was maxing at around 240 and after the chip I was getting about 270 sometimes more. Also like I said It removed that 90-95mph governor so the money was well worth it in my opinion.
Maybe I just dont remember(its been about 2 years)...maybe Ill return it to stock setting and drive on it for a week or two, then ill let ya know if i feel a dif.

It is hard to feel a difference unless you are really sensitive to performance changes. I timed some acceleration rates from 40 to 70 mph and 50 to 80 mph in third gear in four different programs including stock. There is a definite improvement over stock. I found the 91 octane torque program to give the best acceleration. The best gas mileage is with the 91 performance program. I run the 87 performance program most of the time because it is the best overall for economy and still gives better performance than stock.
