EGR cooler replacement

Hi, I have my Ford Ranger wildtrak in the garage to have the EGR cooler replaced. They have just called to tell me it will cost more than they quoted because they have to remove the gearbox to change the EGR cooler. Is this correct? Thanks

We are in North America so could never get your T6 model Rangers here

Australia Ranger forums would be your best bet, include the year and engine model of your Wildtrack for best results
