Question for Manual T-Case Owners

I have a friend with an '02 FX4 with a manual trans and t-case and when you get up to about 70mph in 2wd the t-case shifter starts violently vibrating while the trans shifter stays perfectly still.

Both driveshafts are straight, they have their weights on them still, and the linkage is all in tact.

Any thoughts?

the trans shifter has a rubber dampener/bushing, im pretty sure the tcase shifter is solid from the case to the ****... i could be completely wrong.

my tires out of balance (not balanced at all actually) caused my shifter to vibrate pretty violently.

Is there the rubber bumper still on the linkage? When you put the stick towards the left, it's squishing a rubber bumper in the linkage. Those two linkage to tailhousing bolts tight?

Yea, that's the problem. LOL

It's hard because I don't have the truck in front of me. I will have it tomorrow though so I'll be able to run through some of the ideas you guys have posted.

Keep them coming!
