Exhaust Questions

Hey guys, brand new to the forum. Seems way cool.

I have a question or two,

Is the Flowmaster American Thunder an option on the '02? Or on any Ranger in that case?

And if I got a 40 Series, what pipe would I use with it?

Appreciate any response!
Thanks

Welcome to the forum! The "Search" option is great for these kinds of frequently asked questions. Also the specific categories on the forum will provide more specific answers.

The Flowmaster 40 series is the most common application on a Ford Ranger, in my humble opinion. It's a quality product that produces a good tone and rumble, unlike some other brands of exhaust. I'm not familiar with the American Thunder on a Ranger, although I'm certain it would work.

Factory exhaust size is 2-1/4 inch (2.25"). A good size to run after the muffler would be 2.5, with a 3" tip.

Yeah, I've got a 3.0. So should I go with 2.5" pipe?

Where from?

i would just do the stock size piping with a flowmaster 40 series single in, dual out. then you wont lose much backpressure.
