Front end clicking and pulling hard to the right

Hey guys, I tried searching this problem to see if it has been answered before but I had no such luck. I've got a 94 Ford Ranger 4x4 with a 4.0L. It has the manual locking hubs up front and the push buttons for 4high and 4low inside. A month or so ago I heard a binding/clicking noise when at interstate speeds. When it made this noise it pulled REALLY HARD to the right (It's pretty scary if your not expecting it). Then recently I noticed it has been getting worse and getting to the point to where I don't want to drive it in fear something horrible will happen. I know my front brake pads are getting low and I plan on replacing them this weekend but do any of you guys have an idea as to what might be making my truck do this? I've been driving with the hubs locked (but not in 4x4) but when everything started to get worse I unlocked them and it didn't seem to make a difference (if anything it might have been a little worse unlocking them). I have no idea what is going on and haven't driven that truck much since. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
