Radiator Problem
I have a 97 Ranger 4.0 v-6 ,I think my internal trany cooler is bad in radiator ( trany fuild in radiator ),can I just bypass the radiator and put on a external cooler,will I have any problems with this idea do not want to buy a new radiator the cheapest I have found it is $200.00.Thanks

id just bypass the internal cooler, run an air cooled stand alone in front of the radiator, and plug the barbs on the radiator.
im gunna call tommorrow, and see how much of a discount i get, i might have a lil leak in mine too...
try summit, jegs, and jcwhitney for the aftermarket coolers
or napa (where i got some of mine), autozone n such, just dont put a motorhome sized cooler on a ranger, the pump cant push thru it efficiently, size it right!
