Ok, so what do you think of this.....
Front: http://www.4wheelparts.com/PDT24109.aspx
Rear: http://www.4wheelparts.com/PDT263746.aspx
what do you think? will these parts work with the 4.56 gears... and how is it going to effect the drivability of my truck on the highway?

the second one wont work you dont have 31 spline axles you have 28 spline and y do you want to go to 4:56 gears i have 3.27 and i still take my truck off road and i have open difs a haven't been stuck but then again i have been off roading since i was 12 and big enough to reach the pedals you can go pretty much any were with a stock truck i don't have much money but it doesn't keep me from going out and trying stuff

HERE is what you would want for the front. I think you may be confused on what kind of axle you have. The front is a Dana 35 with 27 spline axles. I think it may be specific for 98+ Ford Rangers meaning that Jeep D35 & 97 on down Ranger D35 stuff wont work.
HERE is the E-Locker for the rear, but this one has the correct number of axle splines for your 8.8. You need a 28 spline carrier.
Also, if and when you regear, do lockers at the same time. It will save you money in that you won't have to pay to have the ring and pinion set up twice. If a shop is going to have to pull out a carrier to install a new ring gear, thay might as well be installing it on a new carrier (the locker).

I would buy a winch before buying a locker. A winch is one of the most useful tools you can have offroad. If you do a winch first you can learn want you truck is capable of without worrying about being stuck in the middle of know where. A locker might get you down the trail further but what are you going to do when you get stuck?

Ok thinking realistically, how much offroading are you going to be doing? A ARB locker would be for a trail rig or someone that goes out every weekend. Those are the top of the line lockers and you can tell by the price. I'd go with a LS for the back and then a selectable locker for the front, Aussie is a good brand as others have said. You can get both of those and be done for under a grand. If your going to run a winch get a front receiver(a hitch that mounts to the frame in the front) and then a receiver cradle for the winch. But you have to remember to use a winch you have to have something to hook onto. A locker can be used anytime where as a winch cannot. You just have to actually sit down and think about how often you'll need a locker or a winch and if its worth it for either one.

See i dont know what i need or anything i am just looking.. I wont be doing anything EXTREME.. just the usual offroading stuff..trails, etc...
I just dont want to get stuck anymore lol..I honestly dont need the arb lockers.. those are too expensive and i wont be doing any of that offroading.. So LS in the rear and a locker up front?? or ls just in the rear or ls up front and in the back?

i disagree a little, off road its as good as an open diff on a modified truck. on a stock truck it makes a big difference, especially wth 2wd

Heres a good post on lockers:
Aussie ($250) up front is the only option. For $300 it's hard to beat the Lock-Right for the rear. You can be locked front and rear for $550 plus fluids. That is cheaper than one "good" tons of $$ unit and you get both axles locked instead of just one. They're all just as effective, but if you have the $$$ to throw around you can get a selectable one as mentioned. Lock-Right is selectable, not by the driver though (no torque while tunring it disengages or overrides itself).

If you are dead set on getting lockers front and rear be prepared to start changing front cv shafts. If it was me I would run 4:56 gears a locker in the rear and a multimount winch set up. The reason I would not run a locker in the front of our trucks with 35's is that the cv shafts can not handle the forces they generate.

hey its ok i just wanted to know because iw as kinda confused with 4.56 gears and the picture shows a stock truck. now i understand
I think an 8000lb winch will do you fine i love the one on my atv def saves me a$$ alot i would say do everything then get the locker later wait a little bit get the winch and get the **** on your truck then see if you want a locker. and lockers suck in the snow just so you know for normal driving.
