problem with temp gauge
i have a 96 ranger 3.0 and i just did the explorer cluster swap from a 2001 explorer. everything works perfect and i had an idea that my temp gauge would run a lil hot, but it is running ALL the way hot. is there a way to correct this? can i just swap the old gauge back in? would it be easier to just mount another temp gauge somewhere else?

yeah i have read other posts and there is some thing about a resistor on the back of the old gauge. swapping the old should fix. but look and read as others have had same problem . sending units are different 1wire and 2wire. i'm going sawp in a cluster w/tach in my 00. local salvage yards aren't much help. But as I have found here in the forum it will work and has been done several times.
