I had a ScanGauge II and liked it, however, UltraGauge is supposed to be the same and is half the price.

I have the scanguageII, its nice to have. My buddy has the ultra guage and he likes the SGII better cause of the screen and options. Ebay has them cheaper. What is it that you want to read?

i originally just wanted to read rpm's because i think my idle issue is due to the tach. but then i was pointed into direction to the scan gauge II and went on here to read reviews and saw everyone had the ultra gauge. the site and support worries me with it a little bit. i like you can read all mpg but they both have similar gauges. what about the screen and options do you like more with the SG II?

Mpg mostly, rpms, temperature, air fuel ratio would be awesome too

can you do air/fuel with the scangauge? doesnt look like the ultragauge does that

i also just read in order to calibrate the mpg and mph, you have to drive 100 miles at one time with the ultra gauge??

Idk...so far i like the ease of use of the scangauge, i like the support of it, and that i can pick it up in-store-(which is why its more expensive), i like how it seems easier to setup. directions are nice laid out and easy to read. i do wish it had a bigger display tho or you could connect it to a computer for analysis.

I've heard good things on the ultra guage most important being that it's also accurate like the scangauge and def cheaper. Cool to see it has metric now although I don't think they've update with more vehicle specific like the scangauge has. I like torque convertor slip ratio and transmission fluid temp if towing.

I love my scanguage II
