dual batteries in a 2004 Ranger
Has anyone ever succeded in putting a second battery in a 2004 ranger?
I have a 2004 Ranger XLT and have looked under the hood and tried to figure out where and how and could a second battery fit?
Even with some modifications I still can't see it.
Just wondering if anyone else has had this thought?
Thanks
Roger

You might be able to relocate and replace the coolant overflow tank and the wiper fluid tanks. This combined with a modified intake box might make enough room under-hood. Also, no cruise unit on the passenger fender opens up some space too.
Other than major moving of stuff, I've never seen duals in a 98+ ranger. Have you considered mounting the extra battery in the bed? Optima blue tops are 900cca@0F.
