Explorer seats in Standard cab????

I understand Explorer seats can be installed in a standard cab Ranger by using the Ranger 6/40 seat track, but cannot be installed and use the power seat options. Why is this????? Is there any way to do it and have the power???

I am well aware of that. I just want to know why you cannot use the power options after switching the track to fit them to the floor. I searched on 4 different forums before I posted and did not find the answer.

the power options are ON THE TRACKS

so if you remove the explorer tracks, it no longer has a power slider, the ONLY WAY areound this, is to modify the stock explorer tracks to fit the ranger, IE weld on extensions or shorten where needed

Single cabs are different than X-cabs when it comes to the seats, and that's why mountain ranger is asking about them. I think Scott's post answered the question squarely.

I put explorer seats in my ranger and had to change the tracks over from the explorer tracks to the stock tracks.

The Explorer power seats only match with the extended cab Ranger floor pans.

x2. I also tried to modify the explorer seat tracks to shorten and lower them, but after it was all said and done it was still a no go.

Do the Explorer seats bolt right up to the Ranger standard cab seat tracks?

With the Explorer seats swapped over to the Ranger tracks, can you still adjust the seat position (backward/forward, up/down, etc.)?

I just swapped explorer seats in my reg cab the other day and i used the track from my bench seat and had my stepdad make another one for the other side. And the bench seat track didnt bolt right up you had to drill another hole in the bottom of the seat but thats all.

By the way were in CT are you?

My Explorer seats bolted right up to my 60/40 tracks with no modification necessary. Just have a set of Torx drivers, and few large sockets (I believe 17mm?), and some patience.

With my explorer seats I can adjust the lumbar position, the back position, and the distance from the dash. It's a very comfy seat:

Edit:

The only thing is you can barely see part of the former 60 seat bracket that held the center seat support. It's barely visible by the seat belt bracket on the driver's side seat. It could easily be cut off, but I left it on and connected a wire loom to it for power to some underseat neon's.
