only one way to find out bud! start pulling that panel off. I JUST pulled the panel off my 05 because I too am getting a little rattle. Sorta like a thin peice of metal vibrating with lower frequencies. Im gonna add some raammat and ensolite to the door and panel. To take off the panel, just start pulling towards you from the top or side. Your gonna need a trim panel removal tool to get the push pins out though. When youre pulling them off...MAKE SURE THEY DONT FLY AWAY! I was taking them off last night and lost 3 of them because they came out flying. Ford wants $4 for each push pin!

I dont know what yours is, but mine was the cable that runs between the two latches. The piece of foam that ford uses to keep it from hitting the metal was out of place. I just peeled it off and stuck it in the right spot. ill bet thats what it is. unless your panel is loose.

update:
so i finally got the panel off and tryed moving different parts to see if i noticed the rattle, i checked the cord that unlocks the door and that seemed fine. I taped any parts that seemed a little loose. when i went for a ride the raddle sounded like it was coming from the locking mechanism at the top. i totally forgot to take a ride with the door panel off, that would have been so much easier to find the noise.
Im not sure what it is?

If you havent put the panel back on......have someone drive w/o it while you sit in the back.

It's probably the cable making the noise. but just to be prudent while you're in there or in case it's not the cable, wrap some more foam around it anyway.
