I have a couple other 4x4s coming, one stock chevy, and 1 monster taco on 35s i think. Thats if those lazy ******* come.

Don't worry about finding us... I plan on setting up a meet-up spot off I-8 on the way the Corral Canyon. I'll post a good easy spot for everyone to meet at and top off their tanks before we get their!

 

hey ford, im thinking the best place to meet would be alpine. thats the last gas stop before cc. pine valley is way to expensive for gas. im having tranny probs. now so im not sure if im gonna make it, i also need new tires. unless i hit the lotto i prob. wont make it. this economy sucks!! i will let you know for sure in a week or two.

 

u actually rate the trails by diamonds and squares and **** hahaha thats hilarious and i would be up for it like i said those are the only two trails that would really make it worth driving 2+ hours i think unless one of u can talk me into it or maybe bribe me with a bottle of wildturkey and midget strippers
i might actually skip this and get my race runners on my truck for tinbenders in april now thats an event in it self

brad, u better get that tanny fixed and make it, u were down from the get go. your tires weren't bad when we were in ocotillo (at least good enough for these trails).



that's how all the trails are labeled on the markers in coral canyon (along with all other rock trail areas out here)... i thought you've been there before dude, lol...

 

who the hell said iv been there before thats the only place iv ever heard of rating trails like that

 

my bad dude... from the way you were talking i assumed you've been there before. anyway, all the ORV areas with rock trails down here rate their trails on that kind of scale:

green circle - easy
blue square - moderate
black diamond - difficult
dbl black diamond - very difficult

these 4 different symbols are on the markers at all the trailheads. this simple system allows people, who have never been to a particular trail before, to know what they will be getting themselves into before they head down it. i go wheelin' with my brother and his jeep crew all over the place and that scale is always used.

i've heard of people putting on chevy full size leaf springs to lift the rear also...

 

i think i can make it. this should be fun, even though i have bald tires.

 

some of the rigs aren't that equiped, so we won't be hitting anything too harry... your tire will be fine! (although, a couple of us might break off from the group from time to time to hit some of the more difficult trails).

im out of town until that friday. so if all goes well and there are no plane delays, i should be able to make it. Im gonna talk to my jeep buddy and see if he wants to go too. Ill keep tabs on this thread and ill know for sure when i drive up and meet everybody.

Manual t-case, and some stuff for my front diff. new seals and **** thing is leaking like a siv.

And since ima have the diff out, i might as well gusset that stupid RCD diff bracket.
