Kinda Ranger Owner - Orlando, Florida
Hey R/F, I'm Luis. The girlfriend and I own a 2002 Ford Ranger Edge, 3.0 V6. It's a very fun truck to drive and hopefully she'll let me add a few toys to it as time goes by (G/F is really the owner, but I have a set of keys :P).
I joined today because I look forward to seeing what other Ranger owners have to offer as for as advice and experience. I try to take care of my vehicles myself unless it's out of my league (somewhat a wrench monkey). She bought the truck used at 110,000k on the dial, so I took the liberty of doing a service - Diff. Fluid, Trans. Fluid and Filter, Oil and Oil Filter, Air Filter, Tire Rotation, etc. And her dad is going to be changing her brakes. The truck has been treating us just great and it's very practical seeing as how we have a Border Collie and German Shepherd/Lab Mix and this truck makes it easier to haul them around since I own a Mustang.
I hope to use your guys' experience and advice to help keep this truck going for a while longer. Plus, I wouldn't mind adding a few...items...to it if she'll let me :P (Bull Bar, Larger Tires and Suspension) Too bad it's only a 4x2.
The day she bought her.
Sitting with my Mustang.
I hope to snap up more photos as time goes by.

Thanks guys! I am taking a week off from work in a couple weeks, in which I will be working on the little lady's truck (Crap is rattling in the blower motor, so I gotta take it apart and clean it out), and I plan on washing the truck up all nice and such. I plan on giving her a mini photoshoot :) I don't have any photos of the Ranger, so that will change.
For now, here's my photos of my Mustang, along with my past car, the Civic.

Nice looks just like mine except the rims. The rear brakes probably won't need it yet... I'm at 126k and they are still thicker than the new ones I got for it... As far as mods, It's all in the approach.... "Honey while I was washing the car I noticed some pitting and chips in the rims, I'm going to find you something to replace them with..." And then came the rims, tires, coils, pretty much everything but the sound system at this point.... I have yet to finish my own truck because of her car.

not to derail your thread too much but i also had one of those 90-91 civics, my first honda (owned 4) ... fun and easy to work on and cheap parts
anyhow, love the mustang and ranger .... quick mod you could do is ditch the front plate holder since you guys dont need front plates in florida

Ha, true, I totally didn't think of getting ride of that thing. Thanks Melt.
Dusted off the Minolta XG-1. Forgot it had black and white film in it; wish I had some color film. Decided to snap a few shots of the girlfriend's truck since I took it to work and serviced it.
