Hello from Minnesota
I just joined tonight to try and fine an answer to a problem with the wife's 2001 Ranger. I have 2 other Fords, a 2004 F 250 and a 1994 F 150 with over 210,000 miles on it. I love Fords. They seem to last a very long time. Here in MN, the darn salt they use on the roads, takes their toll on the underbody.
I purchased my 2004 Ford from a private party, but it was a state owned truck. It is a 2004 with 30,000 miles on it. It was really rusty underneath. I power washed the under side of the truck and then sprayed some thick oil all over underneath. It dripped for a few days, but I thought that was the best way to go. Undercoating is a waste of time and money. I hope this is the last truck I have to buy. I take care of my vehicles and I am getting older, so I hope this truck will last me another 15 years, if I take care of it. Tom
