Welcome to the site!! Like said above, theres a member building a 6.0L to put into a ranger. There's guys, not here though(yet), that have put Cummins 4BT's into rangers...infact there was one on ebay a little while back.
One piece of advice.......top right of the screen, there this really neat feature called "the search button". If there's any question that pops up in your head, or you want to see what others did, use that button. The search button is your friend.

thx for the warm welcome guys. i think for the winter run in minnesota i might need my full size bronco or my grand cherokee. i dont think my little 2wd ranger is gonna much good in the snow unless you want an anchor. the diesel i'm thinking of using in it is a perkins 4cyl turbo from an old cat forklift. it has about 130 hp and near 300 ft lbs of torque. or an older v8 cat 350 from the late 70's

Haha... but yeah.. the diesel ideas sound sweet. I'm really hoping Ford brings their 3.0 Diesel to the states.
Keep us posted.
