I have a 1992 4 L STX that I have had lots of problems with. I live in Salmon Idaho in the mountians. I have replaced shocks, front u-joints radiator alternator, brake pads, headlights & switch, turn signal switch. And waterpump.
Still had overheating, finally replaced engine with a used one.
This winter was very cold 29 below and below zero highs now I have a leaky radiator. This was a 3 core all aluminum one from china, now I can't find one like it or 2 core for manual trans. Can I put and AT one in there and just use a lower hose for AT instead of manual ?
Does an electric fan have any advantages ?

Welcome to the forum.
Yes, on a vehicle over 15 years old you pretty much will only find A/T radiators.
And it will work exactly the same as M/T radiator.
Radiator makers make both M/T and A/T versions for vehicles that are newer because they know both will sell.
As vehicle gets older many go out of service so sales go down, since an A/T radiator works on both A/T or M/T thats the only model they continue to make.
Yes it costs a little more because it has the cooler tube inside, but if you need a new rad then thats what you pay.
No, you do not need to plug the A/T hook up holes
Coolant area inside rad is exactly the same on M/T or A/T rad
Electric rad fan will give you more power and better MPG, only thing that does BOTH.
Not much on either but not 0.
