Icon2 mustang motor

Has anyone seen these new Mustang commercials and instantly started dreaming about a motor swap. Personally I love the idea of having 300HP and 31 MPG. As a not so proud owner of a 3.0L with only 180 hp and only getting about 20 mpg I'm jealous.

An engine that gets 31 MPG in a Mustang will not do the same in a Ranger. The 300 HP would be nice though.

Horsepower is nice, but torque is what you want in a truck. That way you can whiz by those dang ricers. But like rwenzing said that engine would not do the same in a Ranger unfortunately. Not telling of all the frame mods and tranny mods you have to do. But I do like the 5.0 or 4.6 DOHC swap idea. One of these days....

Yes! This swap has crossed my mind numerous times. Doing the 3.7L V6 swap and adding the SHO's boost setup .............. Vroom!!!! The new 5.0 is going to be sick as well.

I can see that! It's a 3.5L twin turbo, right? The lincoln MKZ C&D tested had that and it had about that much HP.

If i remember correctly around 25-28 on the highway if you stay out of boost. And it runs on regular gas.
