haha , i meant the little plastic pipe that is behind the front bumper and connects to the air box

and i dont want to have any kind of snorkle sticking out of the truck i wanted to outside to stay looking stock

if you dont want anyone to see it from the outside then the way that the people have it in the links I posted before are your best bet.

but when i get mud up there wouldnt it still be pulled into the intake

and if it doesnt could it be done with out removing the fenders

im not to sure you could fit anything under the hood, maby someone here will know.

what is this pipe going behind your bumper that you are talking about? I thought all rangers got the air from behind the head light.

i have a little tube that runs from the airbox to a couple inches below the headlight and it could be something the last owner did

It's likely a homebrew cold air intake. Take it off as it'll suck stuff in faster than anything.

If it's just the tapered black plastic tube that is normally there, then it's stock and removing it still helps.

then tommowrow i guess i'll pull it off and find out how much it helps this weekend

then i need to re-route my axle vents since i some how pinched the one for the rear

any ideas on how to route it? i had it running with the brake lines all the way to the engine compartment
