Niteshade equivilent in red?? And idea of mirror mounted signals
Hi.
Ok, so I've been throwing around the idea of replacing the mirror mounted signals with the same lites, but clear. The problem, Oregon law states that no white shall be faced toward the rear except the reverse lites.
Here's the light I plan on modding (www.pmlights.com):
I plan on doing this:
Here's my current setup:
My question: Is there a "niteshade" in red??? I plan on niteshading the front of the lense, and niteshading in red the rear, so i can stay legal. I also plan on either sticker pinstripe between the two, or pinstriping it in paint to seperate the two colors.
I know I can use my airbrush with red and clear coat, but don't want to go with all the trouble.
Any ideas???
Thanks!!
Shane

Yup, I used the yellow "stained glass" paint on my third brakelight turn signals. It wore off when the truck sat outside during a hurricane (and it wears off on the top of the light where its subjected to constant 80mph winds on my drive to work) but it works pretty well overall. Its not dark enough to make a white light look like a red or yellow signal, though.. from the back it will look sissy pink when it lights up. (I have amber bulbs in my 3rd brakelight to combat this.)
