i know that people that mod their pc's are doing this now..
they seal up their computer cases and pour in a liquid that looks like water, but doesnt transfer electricity...ie...wont fry stuff
i was just wondering what kind of liquid it is...i may build a intresting amp rack....

u just have to pour it out...maybe into a container...do u're fixin' on the pc..then pour it back in...
the case was mostly sealed plexiglass or etc...the lid i imagine could come off for repairs and etc...
i'm just curious as to what the liquid is called, and where i could get it...

theres no reason to cool your amp like that unless youve got one really old, or your speakers are suckin a lot of juice.
then theres the coolness aspect of the internals of an amp transferred to a plexi frame with lighted liquid inside. wow...hmmm...new project to make my two different amps match

hey ive seen that about 1.5 years ago on tech tv on the Screensavers. 3M makes the liquid and i think its like 80 bucks a gallon. they had taken everything in a computer and put them it in big tupperware's and filled them up and overclocked it, but they said to be practical use it would need a airtight container because it evaporated quick. ill try to search for it.
EDIT: found it, its called hydrofluoroether, and its not 80 bux a gallon, try 220 a gallon, heres the link to tech tv's website:
