Why? Everybody's got fiberglass or sheetmetal dash's. It's rare to find the stock ones in caged trucks, especially with working heat/ac/radio... just sayin...

I'm with you on this one. I love seeing a good cage integrated into the fully functional factory dash myself.

I agree with that. I really need to get like a Momo wheel with a quick disconnect. If nothing else it will make getting in easier.

Next time I have the old transmission out I'll snap a picture of the actual pan, you'll be impressed. I'm not so worried about hitting it on stuff anymore... haha.

Update: Used my super Mod powers to merge the thread from when I installed the Dixon Bros kit in 2005 with this one, now most all of the build is in here. I'll keep looking for the rest.

Hmm... haven't updated my project in a while... here's what I've been up to in the past few months...

Update: Fresh paint and powdercoating. New ball joints. New EBC brakes. All new nuts and bolts. Freshened up bushings. Spray on bedlined the underside of the fenders. And got two new Optima Yellow Top batteries.

We stripped, sanded, primed, primed, then painted all the tube work. I don't want this thing rusting again.

Arms were powdercoated by Performance Powder in Orange CA, they do great work!

And just for fun some carnage. Here's a 930 CV from my front end that I blew apart. I had a popping sound for a while when in 4wd, didn't expect to see the cage broken open and bashed up, the star bashed up and broken into pieces, and the race completely beat. I did a number on the silly thing somehow.

Very nicely done. Going to be painting the front bumper as well? Or just let it run that way?
