Taylor's '04 XLT
So here she is.
My 2004 Sonic blue XLT that Ive owned now for a few years.
I previously owned an 04 Pontiac Grand-am. I took it to the dealership for an oil change, and left with this Ranger lol. This truck wouldnt have lasted long on the dealer lot. Multiple people were interested in it.
I saw it and said "Gimme that truck....you can have the car"
For the record:
2004 Ranger XLT
Sonic blue
4.0 SOHC V6
5-spd manual transmission
4x4
8.8 rear end with 4.10 gear ratio.
Here she is with 34k on the odo.
(NOTE: No, thats not me in the picture)
Kept her stock for a good while, then found RF and discovered the wonderful world of modifications.
First up was a body lift. The pictures that follow may include a few mods that I didnt take individual pictures of.
Body lift, painted running boards and bed rails.
Headlights and corners
Next up was INSANELY DIFFICULT.....jk.
Bug guard go bye-bye.
DRAGON FLY MOD!! +11.7 hp
lol. I had to put that one in there.
Next up was a custom rear bumper. This is not the finished product (and it STILL isnt finished)
For more on the bumper, check out the link below
https://www.ranger-forums.com/showth...el+rear+bumper
Now here is a mod that you will either love, or hate.
I actually think its pretty cool. Ive yet to see one similar.
I decided to do this because I didnt have room on my bumper for my plate.
AAANnnnndd the finished product:
Note that these pictures include nightshaded tails. Im actually not liking them much anymore. Im probably going to go back to stock on the tails.
I always see people's head tilting slightly with a "what the heck?" look on their faces lol.
Heres another shot of the rear:
And a mud flap delete.
Bed-lined a small portion of the door. The outer edged of the doors were already scratched up to the point of needing a re-paint.
I decided to bed-line them to kill 3 birds with one stone.
I am going to bed-line all of the rocker panels, so it will eventually flow together.
HATERS 'GON HATE:
Next up was a Hurst Shifter.
BEST MOD EVER for manual us manual tranny guys.
I custom made the extension by hand.
I sat in the truck, and held just the shift lever in my hand (not bolted or anything) I then took very carefully eyeballed some measurements.
Yes, im awesome lol.
I cut and used the hurst shift boot and stock cup holders. Turned out AWESOME.
Behold.
Next up was bed-lining the rockers:
I am still in the process of doing all of my rockers. PATIENCE.
Purchased a custom made storage box, and installed. HAND MADE BY MIKE (VH5150) Thanks Mike!
^Notice that there is a center console mount. I installed that way earlier, and the center console is installed as well.
Lighning style exhaust (with a flowmaster super 10) and a fresh wash.
Also minus the front bumper.
^^^And this is how she sits today.
Mods not pictured:
Expo dome light.
Expo OHC.
Currently working on:
Custom front bumper.
Wheels and tires.
A really awesome center console mod.
Much more lol.
Stay tuned.

Can you post a vid with the 10? I was thinking about getting one for my truck and running it sorta like you have it. Also, a few pics of the undercarriage where you have it mounted? I'd like to see how it runs under the frame... Looks real good so far. At first, I wasn't too keen on the license plate but the more I looked at it, the more I liked it.

Offers a far less permanent protection "mod" without ripping fibers out of your wash mit. I'm actually about to buy some to put on mine and my lower tailgate edge from a mistake light bar years ago.

I took them off to check the condition of the paint beneath them, and decided to bedline them.
Yup. If it wasnt for you, I would have bought the longer arm.
