Not to happy with Gunk

I bought some Gunk and followed the instructions to clean my engine. It didn't very much. I ended up going over everything with Armor All Anyway which as always pulled through.

Before Gunk:

After Gunk:
(with only a little Armor All, Cleaned it better later, Throttle body was cleaned with Armor All):

Thumbs up to Armor All
Thumbs down to Gunk

I have always like Gunk but when I used it last I had an 1984 full zise K 10 Blazer. It did a great job cleaning. I will have to try it on my truck this week and see what it does?

I have an fuse/relay in my engine bay for my KC lights. If I was to spray Simple Green or some other cleaning product and then wash it off will there be any damage?

Gunk is really just effective on grease/oil -- I've never known it to do much for dirt.
