Truck Racks for Canadians

Here is a link to Inter-Rack & Cargo Company located in Hawkesbury ON Canada.

His racks are very high quality and he has recently introduced a new line of accessories to enhance the rack's functionality.

I have had mine about 18 months and the aluminum still looks new and has withstood an Ontario winter and salt with ease.

You would have to contact Pierre Binnette I am not sure of his current pricing. He did tell me that they are offering shipping now as well.

p.binnette@mechplus.ca is his contact info.

I am not associated with the business just a satisfied customer.

I bought one of the racks he was clearing out on kijiji Ottawa last year so pricing may be different

He is in Hawkesbury and installed mine in his drive way

his email may have changed to ircco@mechplus.ca

I'll give him a shout and see what kind of pricing he has. May be worth it to just get him to build me one vs building my own.

Pricing is 600$ as shown in the picture. 1000$ for stepside. Not worth the weight savings over building it myself out of steel. Nice rack though.

Up to you I would buy another from him any day. His work is really nice and at 40 some pounds you can easily move the rack off and on at will. Mine has an extra aluminum plate on top and I customized it by adding the tool box into the lower rail but for Ottawa i would go Aluminum over steel anyday. I had a steel cap that was rusting away the first winter I had there so I sold it. This was the best design when I looked about at what was commercially available around. I have a thread on this site under exterior semi tech on the rack.

I built a frame out of bare steel box tubing, painted it and it never rusted. 3 years later driven all winter no issues. It just depends on if you do it right the first time.

Personally I can build a steel rack weighing probably 60lbs that would only cost me maybe $150.

Good luck, there are lots of good ideas on this site to inspire your design.

I'll try to post pictures of the build itself, but with my memory all we're likely to see is finished product. I get tunnel vision when working lol
