I've got almost all my new front end sitting in my garage.
I was starting to mock everything up today, I finished straightening everything that could be straightened, but I will need a new header panel. My header panel isn't really that bad, it's fixable, but it turns out between 98-03, rangers were made at 4 different plants, and if it was made in 2 of them, the header panel didn't change from 00 to 01, but if it was made in the other 2 then it did change,,, long story short, I have the wrong one and I've ordered a new one, it will be here sometime next week.
I have to go pick up the powerdome hood, turns out it's like 2 1/2 hours away, so I get to drive 1/2 a day tomorrow through southeast KS. yay.
At least the truck is on the road to recovery, and as long as I don't run out of money, it will hopefully be looking better than when it came off the lot in a couple weeks,,, minus a bumper (still no idea what I'm doing about that)

I looked up the color jff, 'sonic blue pearl' was only used on rangers from 02-06 (sherwin-automotive.com) that's why it looks so good, and that's why the color will shift from lighter to darker, depending on the angle, it's a pearl. Unfortunately, pearl means expensive, and right now I'm starting to severely run out of money, so I guess we'll see what the future holds for my little '99 sport,, it may slowly become an '03 edge.
Now I have another problem, and I'll start another thread tomorrow, but my rear driveshaft is making a squeaking noise, only when under load, and only below around 20 mph. I jacked it up with it in gear and the park brake set 1/2 way so the tires were spinning and crawled under there (safe, i know) and it sounds like it is coming from the very middle of the driveshaft, not the trans, no the diff, the very middle. I can't figure it out, it's not rubbing on anything, my only thought is that a u-joint or something is going out, and it's resonating to the center(?). I checked very carefully several times, the sound is coming from the center, and it makes no sense!

Fog lights are fine, and for sale. 1 is slightly yellow because it used to have a crack in the case (NOT the lense) I cleaned/dried it all out, re-sealed the case, and replaced the bulb about 6-8 months ago, it's been dandy since.
The valence is a scratched up, but it's in 1 piece. not a very good picture,,,
I'm waiting on my 01-03 headlights and hood, then I can take off my '99 headlights (look just about brand new) PM me if you're interested.

Hi folks, my first post after just joining....did a quick search for my issue, and got this thread.
A bone head backed into my 99 ranger 4x when parked, and gave my passenger side fog lamp a broken bracket, and knocked the valance off the chrome bumper, breaking the small forward mount snaps. The valance is really only just marred a bit, but I need the bracket. And the mounting
snaps... (I know the snaps are something I will likely need to get from the dealer) but if you could part with the pass. side lamp bracket....or let me know if any of you know a better cost effective source I would sure appreciate it. This just happened, so my search is in infancy.
I am in Vancouver, WA
Thanks in advance... RR

I was trying to avoid a stock valence, hence why I got the 2wd bumper. I want to make some sort of tube bumper/ light bar/ skid plate. I just don't have the tools to do that. I've got it looking decent, and I was planning on painting everything next. I was thinking of painting the hood and the grille surround the factory vermillion red, and air brushing something on the raised part of the hood. the grille center will stay gray and the bumper will probably stay black.
