Did it myself (never dropped a tranny in my life) and its been great since, come to find out my line pressure wasn't staying up causing all kinds of irratic behavior. I love my trans now, works great.

My trans seems to have a slow shift from first to second.. sometimes its almost like it is slipping and other times it will hold first then slam into second at about 3500

you can test your line pressure by sticking it in 2nd or 1st on the gear selector then driving it in an open parking lot. bring the speed up then let off, if the trans slows you down quick then its not line pressure. if it barely slows you down or acts like its in neutral line pressure is too low.

I will have to agree. I drove it at the dunes this year and that was below 30 mph and it was interesting, nothing like any other lifted Ranger I have driven.
