2.5l 1998. Where is the Synchronizer located?

2.5l 1998. Where is the Synchronizer located?

I searched but I only find camshaft position sensor but it isnt the entire thing that goes into the engine like the synchro. (if someone could send me a photo)

If you found the actual sensor, then that's it, it doesn't have the mechanical synchronizer like the 3 litre.
The sensor reads directly off the cam shaft.

2.5l Lima engine uses a timing belt
Timing belt sits on 3 gears
Cam gear
AUX(oil pump) Gear
Crank gear

Cam and AUX gear are the same size, so....spin at the same rate, they are "in time".
The AUX gear is used as the Cam Position synchro
Cam sensor is placed behind the AUX gear and reads/sends it's position to the computer
