anyone know where i can get a air intake for a 94 ford ranger 2.3l?

 

Ebay has some random ones. K&N makes one.

i cant do that on my truck. i dont have a snorkel in my box and its not located infront of the headlight.

If you don't have 'snorkel' then where does the engine get air from?? It probably goes into the fender. I dunno tho' I've never looked at a 2.3

 

well there is the box and then there is a tube that runs from that to the grill and there is a little hole that it goes to and sucks in air so i dont think there is any way i can do anything. ill try and get pics on here

 

Sounds like the intake on my focus. Had a tube that ran from the box to behind the headlight.

On my 2.3 I got rid of the stock air box and replaced it with a cheap conical filter on the end of the stock intake hose. I noticed a slight difference, it drew in warmer air than normal and wasn't protected from water, but it worked like a K&N filter for ten bucks.

 

did it make your truck louder because that's what im going for. i got a flowmaster 40 muffler and tailpipe and i want an intake or a intake type mod for louder sound
