Skyjacker 4" leafsprings, couple questions for anyone running them?
Hey. So I've ordered the 4" skyjacker leafs (FR34S). My current setup is stock springs, the stock 1" block with the superlift 3" block, plus beltech shackles. I had planned to remove the 3" and 1" block to put in the skyjackers, but today the mechanic said the stock 1" block needs to stay because it's also used for the bump stop. So i guess I'll just end up with a an extra inch of lift over what I have now??
Also, will the stock u bolts that came with my truck work? They appear to have enough height and enough thread, I'm just wondering if there's anything different about the new leafs?
Last question: how is the ride compared to stock springs? will they be a little bit stronger and firmer than the stock springs? I'm hopin it may help with the trucks tendency to always end up sagging about a quarter inch to the left.

It is used for the bumpstop, but your lifted already and your a LOOOONG ways from hitting the bump stop. If stock, yeah, I can see keeping the block, but with you being lifted and the kit not coming with a bump stop drop bracket, you're sooooooo far from even coming close to hitting the bumpstops, it's really a lost cause to keep the blocks. Ditch the blocks, run straight up springs. I would suggest getting shorter Ubolts or having shorter Ubolts installed when the springs are installed.

Now that I think about it.... Most guys end up running the 6" springs to replace the stock springs, the 3" block in the lift kit, and the 2.5" block that's stock to the truck. I would actually keep the stock 1.5" block on the truck with the 4" springs. I think without that block, you may have a reverse rake goin' on.
I just keep forgetting out ford being stupid and lowering the trucks in 08.
