Superlift: Is it worth it?

Well Im dying to get my truck lifted and I just dont want a body lift. So obviously I have one option because there aint no way I could ever spend 2500 on a lift. Those who have a superlift..was it worth it? Does it drive smoother..rougher? I know with my TBars cranked my truck drives so rough I almost cant stand it... Anybody with pictures of just a superlift please post them! Any other comments about it..please let me know
Thanks
_Matt

Its a good lift cause everything drops down and you can take it off. Its going to ride rougher but alot cheaper than rcd.

before with just 3in bl and 33s

After with superlift and 33s

are you going to put the lift on yourself, because if you have a shop do it, it is going to cost you 2500, especially after getting the front driveshaft.

Then you got to think tires and wheels.

I don't think the RCD is worth the cost difference over the Superlift. I loved my superlift when I had it, and if I had the money (and didn't have the samurai) I would do the superlift over again. Hell, if I had the money for the RCD, I would still buy the superlift and pocket the rest of the cash. It's a strong kit... How many people with the RCD have broken brackets, sagging coils, or other issues with the lift? My superlift survived my roll-over and has been on two other trucks since then with no issues! I also think it rides very nicely for a lifted truck. It's no Cadillac, but that's not what I'm looking for anyways!

There are a lot of good/cool things about the RCD kit, but when it all comes down to it, I just haven't been impressed with the performance of the RCD kit, especially for the HEFTY price tag it carries. Sure it rides nice with the coilovers and the bilsteins, but you don't get a substantial gain in articulation with the kit. You may lose the torsion bars, but you gain the little reinforcement links that mount practically in the same place! And I never got hung-up on the torsion bar drop brackets when I had the Superlift.

Long story short... Save your money and get the Superlift! It's a pretty simple install, and you'll be VERY satisfied with the kit!

Not to mention RCD is not going to fix any issues on their kit because they think the ranger is dieing so who cares!

Superlift on the other hand has made improvements to their kit. I really liked my superlift kit when i had it. i think the thing that bugged me about the truck the most was running 35s it just wears the parts down.

33s and the Superlift kit is perfect for the ranger.

I would have to agree Zack 33's and the superlift was perfect, 35's were just to big for the drivetrain.

Thanks all you guys for the help with this..its a hard decision because I love my truck right now but Geez 33's would be sweet!! I really think the superlift with 33s is the perfect setup too, Im just worried about stuff wearin out on me. Does it ride as rough as T bars being cranked? Im tellin ya i swear my truck is so rough right now Im afraid Im gonna blow my rear main seal when Im hittin some of these bumps..haha Maybe not but Im tellin ya she is ROUGH.
But I def. think it would be worth it for sure from what all you guys said..thanks for the help! And of course all the pictures make me wanna get it even more
Did all of you guys install yours yourself?

matt if you get the superlift, im getting a superlift............think of how much stress your going to cause me......i want one so bad but like i said i only have 20k on my truck so its still a baby, but i want it to be bigger, the truck just doesnt look like its lifted with the superlift, the rcd is the perfect height imo, thats the only thing i hate about it........

im not gonna turn this thread into another RCD vs. SL fight, but swappin coils is simple, cheap, and IMO is worth the difference in the kits

matt there is a used one on craigslist for like 1400 with new rear springs.........idk if its still for sale but its only got like 10k on it.......ill see if i can find it

zach i still cant believe that you were taller than him on 35's.....i think have the bl with the sl makes it worth it, i just dont really want another bl on my truck, kinda sick of them so only being able to stuff 33's just dont seem worth it when i can put 285's on it stock.........
